Ring Ceremony 

Closed ceremony for the graduating Engineering Students.

Invitation, Gown, and Hood Pick-Up 

Submit the form to choose one location to pick up your invitations, gowns, and hoods, either on campus or at Customer Relations Office in Building 250, Northern 90th St., 5th Settlement

Students can bring family and friends to join for photos, celebrate with music, food and graduation tokens.

Volunteer–Staff Orientation 

The volunteer orientation is for staff who will be working in various roles during the ceremonies.

Convocation Rehearsal for Students 

The rehearsal is for all graduates and is led by Marshal. The Chancellor, President, and Board Chairman attend. Sound checks are also conducted for valedictorians.

The rehearsal is for all Official Stage Participants and is led by Marshal. Sound checks are conducted for speakers.

The Official Party, including the Lieutenant Governor, Chancellor, President, and government and other dignitaries gather here prior to the procession and ceremony. They are escorted by Ushers to Building A.

Official Ceremony Begins 

Assembly and Academic Procession – Graduates and Faculty 

Graduates gather here prior to the procession and ceremony with their gowns and hoods. Registrar’s Office staff will pin the hoods to the graduates gowns and line them up accordingly. 

 

Members of the Academic Party gather here prior to the procession and ceremony with their regalia. Staff will be on hand and line them up accordingly.

Building B, hallway facing Food Court 

Academic Procession Line-up Begins. 

VIP guests seated in reserved rows will be escorted to the Courtyard from Building C. The Official Platform Party family members will be escorted to Special Guest Seating. Members of the Platform Party will be escorted to Building B, Room 228 to join the Academic Procession.

Graduates leave building B escorted by the Convocation Marshall. Academic procession with the Academic Party and Official Stage Party file in.

Graduates leave their assigned seats in the same order they proceeded with to follow the Convocation Marshal, followed by the Academic party, and Official Stage Party.

Gown And Hood Return 

A Microsoft Bookings link will be sent to your UofCanada email for you to choose date, time, and location to return your gowns and hoods, and get refunded either on campus or at CRO.

Note: International students MUST return gowns and hoods on campus and get refunded through the Finance department.
