What is the EC?
At the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), career development is more than preparing for a job; it’s about building a future. We empower students to explore their passions, develop their skills, and achieve their professional goals through a wide range of resources and programs. UPEI also champions innovation and entrepreneurship through its entrepreneurial arms, the Entrepreneurship Center (EC) and the DMZ. These initiatives provide students with the tools, mentorship, and opportunities to transform their ideas into impactful ventures, ensuring they are equipped to thrive in a competitive global landscape.
The Entrepreneurship Center (EC), powered by UofCanada, focuses on fostering entrepreneurial education and activities within the Egyptian youth through various initiatives such as mentorship matchmaking, meetups, partnerships, and more. The EC is the first and only entrepreneurship center in Egypt to establish a bridge between Egyptian and Canadian entrepreneurs to encourage and promote cooperation and experience sharing.
While the Entrepreneurship Center (EC) is based at UofCanada’s campus, participants do not need to be current students or affiliated with UofCanada to participate in any activity organized by the Entrepreneurship Center. Any entrepreneur who meets the eligibility criteria is welcome to participate.
What is DMZ?
Launched in August 2021, DMZ Cairo is a sector-agnostic tech incubator based at the Universities of Canada in Egypt.
