Note 1: Awards will be posted to the student’s account at the beginning of each semester and following full-time
registration, defined as a minimum of 9 semester credit hours.

Note 2: Eligible students entering UPEI Cairo Campus for the first time in January will qualify for the second semester
scholarship only and will be posted on a student’s account following the student’s full-time registration.

Note 3: Students taking EAP (1 or 2), Preparatory or Foundation Courses qualify for the entrance scholarship.

Note 4: Students taking Full EAP Preparatory Courses qualify for the second-semester scholarship only if the student
passed the course in the first semester and registered for credit courses.

Note 5: Students enrolled in the Gateway Program do not qualify for the Merit Award.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The student has an offer of admission and received a UofCanada ID number.
• Awards will be confirmed for a guarantee upon receipt of final official high school transcripts.
• Awards are automatically posted to a student’s account following full-time registration.

UPEI Cairo Campus students entering their second, third, or fourth year of study in a first undergraduate degree are eligible for Academic Excellence Awards based upon their grade performance at the University.

• Students will automatically qualify for Academic Excellence Awards based on his CGPA at the UPEI Cairo Campus.
• Students must maintain full-time registration status minimum 9 credits each semester for fall and Winter.
• Academic Excellence Awards will be calculated and assigned automatically.
• Marks will be automatically assessed every May after the student’s first year at the UPEI Cairo Campus. If the student does not qualify after the first year, he/she can still earn an Academic Excellence Award in the following year if his/her marks improve.
• For the winter intake the students who has at least 15 credits will be eligible for an academic excellence award the following year.
• Note: The availability and monetary value of all scholarships are subject to change.

The President’s Gold Full Scholarship is granted to the top 100 (as published) for the Egyptian Certificate “Thanawiya Ama, STEM and Nile Schools” (in recognition of the highest GPAs).

Eligibility Criteria for Renewal

• Full-time registration in September and January.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above throughout study for the scholarship annual renewal.

To apply for this scholarship, candidates must:

1. Complete the online application, provide all supporting admission documents and meet the program’s admission requirements

Note: Please note that your scholarship application will not be considered until the university’s application form and all admission documents are submitted.

• Full Scholarship for individual sport achievement at an international level (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place).
• 50 % Scholarship for team sports achievement at an international level (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place).
• 30 % for individual or team sport at a national tournament level or the Egyptian Universities Sports Federation (1st place).
• 20 % for individual or team sport at a national tournament level or the Egyptian Universities Sports Federation (2nd place).
• 10 % for individual or team sport at a national tournament level or the Egyptian Universities Sports Federation (3rd place)

• Submit official documents verifying eligibility for Athletic Scholarship (awards, certificates, current athletic status, etc.). The certificate must be updated yearly and stamped by any of the following official entities:
  • The Game Federation
  • The Olympic Committee,
  • The Supreme Council for Youth and Sports,
  • The Egyptian Universities Sports Federation for continuing students.
• Minimum high school overall average of 75% upon admission for first-year students for the academic year of 2023-2024
• Minimum Thanaweya Amma average of 70% upon admission for first-year students for the academic year of 2023-2024
• Have completed the admission application form, received an ID number, and paid the tuition deposit.
• Full-time registration in September and January
• Maintain good academic standing (CGPA 2.7) and above throughout years of study for continuing students. Marks will be automatically assessed every May after the student’s first year at UPEI Cairo Campus.
• Continue to practice their sport and compete in tournaments under the name of Universities of Canada.

• The scholarship will be posted to the student’s account at the beginning of each semester and following full-time registration, defined as a minimum of 3 courses.
• Renewal of award is not automatic; the student needs to apply every year for the scholarship and present the required documents.
• The deadline to submit this form is by the add/drop deadline.

This scholarship is awarded to graduating high school/current students who are creative and have spent time in high school or university developing their artistic, cultural, and/or social talents. Students must demonstrate the influential nature and/or impact of their artistry in their area of expertise: visual arts, performing arts, digital/non-digital media, and/or mass communications.

1. Submit a personal statement of contributions and activities.
2. Qualify for admission with a minimum 75% average from high school.
3. Demonstrated excellence in the chosen artistic field, supporting documents, and/or certificates required upon application.

2. Must be in good academic standing (minimum CGPA 2.7)
3. Demonstrated growth in artistic endeavors.

Value: Up to 15% annually and renewable. Issued in the Fall and Winter semesters only posted to a student’s account at the beginning of each semester, following full-time registration.

• Siblings of full-time registered students at UofCanada will qualify for a 10% tuition discount.
• Students can combine more than one scholarship and a special discount of up to 50%.
• Students must register the maximum course load for the Fall and Winter semesters to receive the full Scholarship.
• The calculation of the scholarship and discounts is done through the Finance Department based on specific sequence orders.
• The combination between academic and athletic scholarships without maximum limitation of percentage.
