The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) Cairo Campus welcomed its seventh cohort of students for the 2024-2025 academic year with a structured orientation program held from September 24th to 26th. The program aimed to introduce the incoming students to the university environment, provide key information about their academic journey, and facilitate peer bonding.
Organized by UPEI’s Student Development department, in collaboration with Orientation Head Ahmed Ayman, the three-day orientation featured a mix of induction sessions and interactive activities. The orientation was designed to help students acclimate to university life by familiarizing them with campus resources, academic expectations, and student support services.
Faculty members and support staff took part in the program, offering guidance on various academic and campus-related matters. The goal was to provide students with a solid foundation for the start of their studies and ensure they were informed about the services and support available to them.
In addition to informational sessions, the orientation included a series of activities aimed at promoting interaction among the new students. These exercises were designed to help students build connections with their peers and develop a sense of community from the start of their university experience.
The event offered an opportunity for students to engage in teamwork and collaboration in an informal setting, contributing to an atmosphere of inclusivity and support within the incoming cohort.
As UPEI Cairo Campus continues to grow, the successful integration of each new cohort is a key factor in maintaining its academic and community standards. The Class of 2028 is now poised to begin their academic journey with access to a range of resources, a strong support network, and an engaged university community.
