On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Universities of Canada in Egypt, the hosting facility of the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) and Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), Cairo campuses, welcomed 28 organizations in its second Career Fair which brought together an amazing lineup of diversified industries, consultancy firms, and NGOs to scout for interns and full-time hires among the best and brightest of our students who aspire to build their futures.
The highly interactive networking event ran from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. Having outgrown its usual space in UofCanada’s hallway between buildings A and B, the fair attracted long rows of students waiting to distill valuable advice from HR experts explaining to them their hiring processes and criteria for selection.
A big thank you goes to our Main Sponsor, Verto Wave; Silver Sponsors, L’Oreal Egypt, New Horizons, Breadfast, QNB ALAHLI, and Cairo 3A Poultry; Coaching Partners, Schneider Electric, and iCareer; and the esteemed Exhibitors, UN Volunteer, Egypt, GB Corp, PWC, Schindler Group, Vezzeta, Infinity, National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt, MANSOUR, ArcelorMittal, itida, LOGIC, Central Bank of Egypt Egyptian Banking Institute, Dabur, Educate Me Foundation, Fine Hygienic Holding, AMIT, Trufla Technology, TRANSSION Holdings, Global Corp, EGY Property.
On the side, our TMU Media Production student, Judy Eletreby, was lucky to host a key expert from Schneider Electric, Yasmine Yehia, who shared on-point career coaching advice in an interesting podcast that every student should listen to.
Speaking of UofCanada’s brilliant students, we could not be more proud of our UPEI Cairo Campus alumni representing two of the top employers on-site. We had Julie Milad & Raie Sameh, graduates of Sustainable Design Engineering who joined Infinity, and Mariam Ferwiz, a graduate of Business Administration, currently working for L’Oreal Egypt. Their energy and prowess set a great example for our next class of graduates. We strive to qualify our students for the corporate world with a solid experiential learning approach and a highly supportive Career Development Program.
As we wrap up this year’s round, we are excited to keep the tradition, express how grateful we are to our loyal partners, and, above all, reaffirm the commitment to help our students build successful careers.
