Banque Misr on Campus: When Learning Meets Real-World Experience

The Career Development Center at UPEI Cairo Campus recently hosted Banque Misr, one of Egypt’s leading financial institutions, for an engaging on-campus visit. The session gave students the chance to learn about internship opportunities, explore career paths in banking, and gain insights into the dynamic world of finance.

As part of the visit, Banque Misr also delivered an interactive Financial Literacy session, equipping students with essential knowledge to make informed financial decisions — a skill that supports both their personal and professional development.

Co-op Students Take Learning Beyond the Classroom

Separately, several UPEI Cairo Co-op students have completed their internships at Banque Misr, applying what they learned in the classroom to real-world banking operations. Working within one of Egypt’s most dynamic financial institutions, students gained hands-on experience, strengthened their problem-solving and teamwork skills, and discovered how academic theories come to life in professional environments.

During the on-campus event, some of these students shared their stories, reflecting on how their UPEI education prepared them to face real challenges and contribute meaningfully to their teams.
